A fairytale, what a lie
no endings so happy and true
We are not whole
and the fault we find falls on you
You are like a stain we try and hide
Mocking, unforgiving, you’re a hardship this way
Time for you will not do any good
So in your consequences you will have no say
What is rightfully yours will be royally given
by the one you so openly mock
but we stand higher, unshaken by your wrongs
In the sacred things we have been taught
Your life is a mess of tangled lies
The man built to care for and provide
I do not see him in your eyes
Like a tattoo regretfully engraved
your blood runs through my veins
It is a wonder or blindness you love I still crave
A stone not worth my jewels in pay
A fairytale, what a lie
no happy endings, nothing true
At least when it comes to me and you
