We are proud to announce something very special and exciting. But first of all, we want to thank everyone that came out to our show last night at KTUB. It was an amazing experience and we’re so lucky to have such supportive and loving people backing everything we do. The show was awesome and we were proud to share the stage with some wonderful new and upcoming Seattle bands.
At the show last night we announced that we were holding a free raffle at out merch table for anyone who wanted to be considered in a drawing for a spot at our new album listening party that we’re planning in the near future. Each candidate was asked to write down their name, email adress, cell phone number and Twitter user name in order to submit themselves into the raffle. Today we chose 10 lucky people as winners of this contest and we announce them as follows:

Stephanie Le (stephlestrange)
Sonya Arbuckle (sonyasunshine)
Veronica Gruba (vtown)
Chelsea Cox (chelseaa182)
Ashley Mena (ohbabyitsashley)
Tatiana Rossi (taketakeitaway)
Katherine Gwynn (katherinegwynn)
Lauren Short (ordinarylauren)
Brie Labrash (brielabrash)
Michelle Munneke (mishkm)

Each of these lucky winners will get:

The opportunity to attend an exclusive listening party hosted by Eric Bowley and Andrew de Torres (date, location and time are to be announced)
A free t-shirt & copy of the “On The Road with The Scene Aesthetic” DVD
The chance to be part of a special video update with the band to promote the new full length record

We will announce each of these winners individually on our Twitter account.
ATTENTION CONTEST WINNERS: Please RSVP with us so we know that you’ve read all of this and so that we can confirm your spot at the listening party. Send an RSVP email to: band@thesceneaesthetic.com

This is going to be really, really cool. I can’t wait to start putting together the video update after we hold this listening party. I’m excited to hear what these people think of the new record and get some honest feedback and opinions. Plus it’ll be fun just to hang out with some of our fans. Maybe we’ll order some pizzas and play some board games too. :)

We just want to update everyone on the show we’re playing at KTUB on March 5th:
Letters & Lights are the “secret guests” who will be sharing the stage with us that night.
Also, if you haven’t checked out Fairline and Jesse Morrow, you definitely should.
*NOTE: Just another reminder that KTUB’s capacity is limited to only 350 PEOPLE, and there are absolutely no pre-sale tickets. If you plan on coming, we suggest getting there early.

I just got done doing inventory on all the merch we have at my house. It’s now stored nicely and neatly in my garage waiting to be unleashed upon all of you who would like to bundle up in a nice cozy warm TSA hoodie or t-shirt. We also have some limited edition “A Type & A Shadow” EP pre-signed posters and lots of other goodies that you can get your hands on.
P.S. That inventory took me 3 hours.

permalink The Scene Aesthetic’s new full length record is inching closer and closer to being finished. I’ve wanted to frame our records for quite some time. Today I made a trip to Michaels and found these CD frames for $9.99 (before a 40% discount!), so I decided to pick a couple up and undertake the little project.
I’m happy with how they turned out!

permalink You’re looking at the original red spiral notebook pages that were used to document the writing of a little song called Beauty In The Breakdown back in December ‘04. I thought it would be fun to throw this up here seeing how no one has ever seen these before; and quite frankly I thought I had lost this notebook a long time ago. None of us could have imagined what would happen when we recorded this song and put it online…
