Dear Little Clementine,
This wait is seriously worse than all of my Christmas Eves combined. Let’s just fast forward the next 7 days and be best friends already, deal? Be safe until then and take a nap on the flight over here.
Do you have a Valentine yet? If not, I would like to officially apply for the position. I feel I am qualified to be an outstanding Valentine if chosen. Please write back.
Yours dearly,
Eric

I am such a lucky boy.
Spending today with April on her 22nd birthday was absolutely wonderful. We had sushi for lunch at N’Joy in Mill Creek. And sushi for dinner (accompanied by Aileen & Jake, and Ayano!) at Umi Sake House in Seattle. We spent some time walking around the Seattle Center and relaxing at the fountain as we watched it dance along to the music playing.
All in all it was a great day. I just got home from dropping her off at the airport. She caught a red-eye flight back to Indianapolis and has classes tomorrow afternoon. I’m proud of her for keeping her word to her professors. (She cleared missing the first few days of school with them before flying out for my sister’s wedding.) I wish this distance wasn’t a factor in our relationship, but if anything could come from it I would say that it’s the lesson of us never taking a moment with each other for granted when we’re together. And for that I am very thankful.
I miss her already. She is my best friend; my confidant.

It turned out perfect! It looks so great on her little 6.5 index finger.

My co-workers are estimating that there are 1,000+ people in line now waiting to get their hands on an iPhone 4.
The doors have now opened and there is a ton of clapping and cheering.
April and I are minutes away from activating our new iPhones. The (almost) 10 hour wait has proven to be successful!
1 hour and 30 minutes left until the doors of Apple open and the iPhone 4 launch is official on the West Coast.
There are easily over 450+ people here now with more and more people showing up by the minute.
I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s absolutely insane. There are men in business suits vulturing the front area of the line asking everyone and anyone what price they want for their spot in line. They reek of jealousy. (Edit: That man just bought a guy’s spot in line for $120 dollars! WHAT?!)
A handful of my old co-workers woke April and I up with coffee and Jack In The Box breakfast sandwiches. (So freaking thoughtful!) They cheered us on for our wait as they headed inside to begin their training on the iPhone 4 before doors open. The black curtain remains in place and the line hasn’t been divided yet between people who have reserved their iPhone 4 and those who are here on a first-come-first-serve basis like April and I. We’ve held on to numbers 22 and 23 in line. — Stay tuned!
